As a visual designer on the Microsoft OneDrive product team, I worked across illustration, web design, and mobile design (Android and iOS) — contributing to areas including the OneDrive.com home page, OneDrive Photos experience, first run experiences, guided tour interactive banners, Premium feature cards and upsell visuals, email campaigns, and empty state illustrations — bringing a cohesive and engaging visual identity across the product's key touchpoints.

Mobile Sign-In Page Illustrations

The OneDrive first-run mobile carousel required succinct yet engaging illustrations to complement the accompanying copy, with the goal of driving users to create an account or log in.

OneDrive Cloud Storage Feature Illustrations

The feature card designs called for a metaphorical approach to illustrating varying levels of cloud storage. At the time (2017), cloud storage was still a relatively novel concept for mainstream audiences, so the challenge was to translate an abstract, technical idea into something immediately intuitive and relatable — making the invisible feel tangible. The illustration style helped establish a visual standard and style guide that informed the direction of all subsequent illustrations across both marketing and in-product experiences.

Each illustration employs a restrained grayscale palette — a deliberate design choice that visually communicates the absence of content while maintaining a clean, unobtrusive user experience.
